Me. On my Boston Qualifying journey
In January 2025, I was invited to Boston Qualify.
I had never run a marathon and didn't really have a desire to. A friend was going for the goal, so I joined her. Why not?
Three marathons later, I was hooked. The distance, the experience, the challenge—I loved it all.
Then I signed up for a marathon on my own. I thought the downhill course would carry me to my qualifying time. It didn't.
That race taught me something: if I wanted this goal, I needed to lead myself there.
I found a training plan. I committed. I believed. In July 2026, I stood on another start line fully convinced it was my Boston Qualifying race.
It wasn't.
But the goal is still a full yes.
I've learned there's a difference between saying, "I want something," and saying, "I want something," and meaning it.
My invitation to you: Pay attention to the goals that feel like a full yes. The ones that stay with you after disappointment. The ones you can't seem to let go of.
Then keep showing up.
You don't have to know the how or the when.
Just don't quit on the yes.
