At a certain point in life, many of us begin unraveling the messages and programming we've absorbed from our upbringing and society. Maybe you've found yourself in that space too.
Navigating motherhood, raising a family, working full-time, trying to keep it all together—while also searching for your own voice and finding your footing.
For me, that journey began in my late twenties as my first marriage unraveled and ended in divorce. Around that time, I discovered Joyce Meyer and her message about enjoying everyday life. I remember thinking, Wait... that's a thing? That question launched me on a journey of curiosity, growth, and learning what it means to live with intention.
When 2020 arrived, I chose to return to running—something I had always loved but had never made a consistent habit. One foot in front of the other, lap after lap around the track, became a way to release stress and find my way back to myself.
As both a lifelong student and a middle school teacher, I've always been drawn to deeper meaning through reading, journaling, and reflecting. My curiosity eventually led me to study how our minds work and the incredible impact our thoughts have on our lives. That journey naturally evolved into learning to intentionally train my mindset.
Along the way, I also discovered cold-water plunging. Like running, it became a practice of presence, resilience, and returning to my body. It continues to remind me that growth often begins just outside of my comfort zone.
These practices—running, mindset, reflection, and cold water—have shaped who I am and inspired this blog.
My hope is that this becomes a place where we can explore what it means to be human, present, and authentic. A place to ask questions, share stories, and grow together.
Thank you for being here. I'm so glad you found your way here.
