I am a runner- 2 lessons from December 2020

I just started running again in December 2020. I was content to do water exercises and walk for the past 10+ years. I have always enjoyed some level of fitness throughout my life. I am 43 years old.

I enjoyed running in high school. In my 20's I was a runner off and on. I heard stories of knee surgeries and did not want to wear my knees out before old age, Lord willing I get the gift of many years.

I read the book, Can't Hurt Me, by David Goggins. I was inspired to run again. I went out and did 1.5 miles. It was easy peasy! Then I did 3 miles. No problem. I was loving it.

I was reflecting on why it was so easy to just pick up and run again. Well, I have always believed I am a runner. I like it. I feel good. I get lost in my thoughts. They are usually motivating thoughts. I have been training my brain intentionally now. I choose positive thinking now while I run.

Lesson #1- I believe I am a runner and so I am and act accordingly.

The next reason I believe it was so easy to get back into running was because of daily BEMER usage. I have been using BEMER daily for 3 years now. My goodness. My heart didn't hurt at all. I know what it is like to get back into shape after taking time off from exercise. This wasn't anything like the past 'getting back into shape'. I did notice my legs get stronger. But, sore? Nope! Not even sore. Wowza! Thank you for BEMER recovery.

The only battle that was the big battle was the MIND. It is so comfortable to not move. Once I am going though, the reward is sweet. So, I battled the MIND to get out there and run. The rewards are stonger now than the comfort of sedentary and so I am consistent.

Lesson #2- I still love my BEMER. And exercise and recovery is now another reason the BEMER life is so sweet!

¡Hasta la próxima!
